Grand Army Plaza

Just outside the main entrance to Prospect Park sits Grand Army Plaza.

It's a big traffic circle with a park in the center of it.

What's There?

	Soldiers' and Sailors' Arch This is a huge monument built in 1892 and dedicated to the soldiers and sailors who fought for the Union in the Civil War. A lot of people think it looks like the famous Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
	Bailey Fountain Built in 1932. Unfortunately, the water is often not turned on, so it can be more of a sculpture than a fountain.
	John F. Kennedy Memorial Honors the 35th President of the United States. It was built shortly after Kennedy was assassinated.
